Maine Chapter CSI

The Construction Specifications Institute offers several exams to measure a person's understanding of construction documentation, standard contract procedures, and specific construction documentation activities as described in CSI's Manual of Practice, a nationally recognized document. These exams are open to both Members and Non-members. With the exception of the CDT Program, Certification is for a 3-year period and renewal of the Certification requires continuing education to stay proficient in the particular field. An individual must pass the CDT Exam in order to be eligible to take the CCS, CCPR or CCCA exam.

CDT Exam - March 29 to April 5, 2008
CCS, CCCA, CCPR - April 5, 2008January 2, 2008 February 29, 2008 The CSI Convention (Las Vegas) (Date TBA) 90 days prior to exam 60 days prior to exam Additional exams at Region Conferences and at other times may be scheduled The FY2008 CDT Exams will be given electronically at the Prometric's sites located at 101 Foden Road; South Portland, ME and 1460 Outer Hammond Street; Bangor, ME. Individual CDT Exam candidates will be able to schedule their exam within the one-week time block. The CCS, CCCA, and CCPR Exams will be "paper & pencil" exams given on April 5th at locations to be announce in the Portland and Bangor areas.

(This program measures basic knowledge of fundamentals and formats of construction documents as prescribed by CSI and the general conditions of contracts for construction. Passing the CDT Exam is a prerequisite for the taking the exam in any of the other Certification Programs)
